On or Under the Surface of Land (2015) suggests a subtle shift in bunú’s practice: from fixed to live performance, from predetermination to intervention. The treatment of the sound material reflects this slow and cautious evolution. Changes in texture and intensity are explored slowly over the duration of the performance, blending minimal environments and hinting at the patient listening process involved in field recording.
